Following the launch in Paris of the LP containing Okay Temiz’s performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1982, one of the world’s most important jazz festivals, Caz Plak’s “Okay Temiz” trilogy’s second record is being released simultaneously in Tokyo, Paris, and Istanbul in three separate editions and four different curations.
Regarded as one of the top 25 pioneers in the history of jazz by sources like The New York Times and The Guardian; a bandmate to jazz pioneers such as John Coltrane, Cecil Taylor, and Ornette Coleman; and a figure who shaped the history of jazz with albums like “Organic Music Society” and “Eternal,” Don Cherry, who toured the world with Okay Temiz and Johnny Dyani for over a decade, presents one of the most important recordings of the Don Cherry Trio, now meeting audiences 50 years later under the Caz Plak label.
The ‘Don Cherry Trio – ORTF Recordings Paris, 1971’ LP is being released worldwide in three different hand-numbered limited editions specifically designed for each region: 500 copies in Japan, 1,000 copies in Europe, and 1,000 copies in Turkey. Also, a special box set, which contains all three editions of the ‘ORTF Recordings Paris, 1971,’ is being prepared specifically for the 50th anniversary of the performance. This box set is also hand-numbered and limited to just 100 copies for collectors.”
Caz Plak unearthed a never released before Turkish Jazz Magnum Opus. Okay Temiz’s Oriental Wind Live at Montreux Jazz Festival 1982. Released in İstanbul, Tokyo, Japan and London simultaneously as a hand numbered, limited edition record with the collaboration between Montreux Jazz Archives, Montreux Sounds and Caz Plak İstanbul, Okay Temiz’s Oriental Wind Live at Montreux Jazz Festival 1982 is a Turkish Jazz gem is a glimpse to Turkish Jazz’s unearthed territories.
Never before released recording also combines the late 70’s Turkish Psychedelic elements into more liberated versions of known Anatolia structures such as 9/8 rhythm sections. Okay Temiz’s Oriental Wind Live at Montreux 1982 also offers a masterful improvisation manifest to recorded jazz music from a less familiar part of the world.
Remastered from original master tapes from Montreux Jazz Festival Archives, made in İstanbul with 3 different editions and a celebrative 40 years limited edition 3 LP box set, Produced by Haluk Damar and Erinç Güzel as Caz Plak, also additional mastering by Mert Üçer, Okay Temiz’s Oriental Wind Live at Montreux 1982 is a gateway to never before experienced era of Turkish Jazz.

Caz Plak proudly presents “KÜN”, the first solo album of Cem Yıldız, one of the preeminent faces of the electronic-traditional hybrid music in Turkey.
Cem Yıldız known as one of the important musicians of past years and has an impressive career; from his education in Istanbul Technical University Conservatory to the Orient Expressions band; from Montreux Jazz Festival to one of the world’s most esteemed music festival Sonar Barcelona, “İnsanlar” the band that he founded with Barış K, soundtracks of various TV shows and movies; the smash hit song called “STIL” which he composed and read on the Musique de France album of Acid Arab and made a tremendous impression all over the world.
Kün album, in this respect, is the first solo album of Cem Yıldız and represents a new phase of hybrid music retaining his signature sound, blending traditional, electronic, psychedelic music and Anatolian philosophy.
“Kün” has recorded in Istanbul, mastered in Los Angeles and produced by Caz Plak in 12’’ LP format in limited numbers.
